I have a friend who runs a 90 point wine club out of California’s historic Napa Valley. One thing we often talk about is how a large number of his visitors speak languages other than English.
From a coding and development perspective, I have always wondered if there was something that we could do to help him and his customers communicate. While this site is about coding and development of computer language, I thought it might be interesting to note that it is virtually impossible for us to create computer programs to decipher language. It’s a disassapointment to be sure as there are a number of industries which could really use the tech, let alone the people with disabilities who would see their quality of life take a dramatic step forward.
