"IDM" is a programming toolkit for developers and implementors of SGML systems. IDM consists of a number of C++ modules that allow programmers to manipulate, transform, and publish complex SGML documents. Developers can easily build applications by combining their own Transformation Modules with the core Modules provided with IDM. These core modules support common tasks such as tag stripping, branch deletions, element renaming, and document metrics.

The IDM Lotus Notes Formatting Engine

A Lotus Notes aware formatting engine built on top of the core IDM SGML Transformation Toolkit featuring:

• an SGML DTD that captures the structure of a Lotus Notes Database - Notes Flat File (NFF)
• a Notes import filter that automatically converts NFF documents to richly formatted, hypertext Notes databases
• a Notes Aware Formatting Language that hides the complexities of Notes behind an intuitive command syntax
