New Features

NOX Version of OmniMark

Exoterica pre-announced its NOX version of OmniMark at their third annual OmniMark Users' Group meeting held the Sunday before the conference. NOX is designed to improve functionality in the areas of pattern matching, string processing, parsing, and process control. New features include:

• Functions/external function modules
• User controlled SGML parsing
• User defined streams
• SGML parser enhancements
• User defined & reclusive patterns
• Extended string processing language

These enhancements will also allow OmniMark to work as a server between users and resources. Preview copies of NOX may be released at the end of the first quarter.

V2R6 of OmniMark addresses bug fixes and minor enhancements. The release date is February 1996.
