GTI Publisher is an authoring system conceived specifically to optimise the CD-ROM edition of documents with hierarchical structure. It is useful to those who plan to create electronic books for use on CD-ROM or networks, without programming or specific computer knowledge.
GTI Publisher consists of two components:
GTI PubMaker is used for Data preparation and provides a graphical interface that does not require any programming. It enables authors to easily define how their documents are structured for a hierarchical table of contents. It assists them in creating various means to aid the end-user to navigate through the elements of this structure. It enable authors to index the contents of this publication; they are guided through these tasks by Graphic User Interface menus.
GTI PubUser enables users to access their electronic book by automatically adapting itself to the parameters defined during the build process. It enables the end-user to highlight important text and create personal folders.
GTI Publisher is available on Windows and will also be available on Macintosh platforms soon.
