On 3rd June 1996 EBT announced that Sybase, a leader in client/server and Internet software and services, is providing product documentation to its customers on the World-Wide Web using EBT's DynaWeb server software. "SyBooks[TM]-on-the-Web", includes full, interactive product documentation for its SQL Server[TM]System 11[TM] product release, as well as its Open Client/Server[TM] offerings. Visit the Sybase Website at http://cobweb.sybase.com:8011/ or at http://www.sybase.com to see DynaWeb in action.
SyBooks is published using EBT's DynaText[TM] CD-ROM browser and was developed to boost customer satisfaction by providing easier and faster access to quality documentation. SyBooks-on-the-Web enables Sybase customers greater access to product documentation and updates by using any Web browser. Sybase uses DynaWeb to convert existing SGML-based SyBooks CD-ROM product documentation into HTML as it is requested by diverse Web clients. DynaWeb is a Web publishing solution serving different dialects of HTML on-the-fly to support rapid change on the Web. It is an ideal solution for publishing large documents to multiple Web clients who each have different content requirements. It has searching and navigation features which enable Web clients to locate relevant information quickly and easily in large document collections. For more information on DynaWeb, visit:

In May 1996, EBT announced the beta release of their Web Management System.
The Web Management System is a Web site management system which combines content management capabilities with a development environment.
The system is targeted for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Web developers, and professional Web masters.
There are two major components to the Web Management System. It has a server add-on for Netscape or Microsoft Web servers and a client that operates over the standard HTTP Internet protocol. This enables authors, developers and editors to collaborate on a single Web project from any number of remote locations.
The launch of EBT's Web Management system will be Q1 1997.
