The Italian SGML Users' Group held its member meeting on 4th December 1996 at Federlazio - Federazione delle Piccole e Medie Imprese del Lazio, Viale LIBANO 62, Roma.

The meetings and participation of the group are open to anyone interested in the diffusion of SGML in Italy, for commercial and non-commercial use.

SGML Sweden '97

SGML Sweden '97 takes place during 20th - 21st March 1997 at the restaurant Berns Salonger in Stockholm. The theme of the conference is "Lön för mödan" (Getting rewarded for one's pains).

Some interesting aspects include:

• SGML-related standards, i.e.; HyTime, FOSI, DSSSL, CGM or STEP
• Electronic/parallel publishing
• Database applications
• DTD-developments
• Content identification/management
