FrameMaker+SGML

Adobe Systems is developing a series of Application Packs for FrameMaker+SGML environment which are targeted at Semiconductor, Telecommunications, Air Transport, Computer Hardware and Software Manufacturer industries.

Application packs are implementations of a DTD in the FrameMaker+SGML environment. Included are read/write rules and customizations to the SGML Reader and SGML Writer specific to the DTD; an EDD (Element Definition Document) with formatting rules, and a template. It is anticipated that each organization will customize the EDD and template to match their own document styles.

The following DTDs are being implemented:

• Semiconductor PCIS DTD - January 1997
• Telecommunications TIMS DTD - Q1 1997
• Computer DocBook DTD - January 1997
• Air Transport Several DTDs from ATA Spec 2100 - Q1 1997
