The next SGML Hands-On Seminar is being held at Database Publishing Systems Ltd on 21st - 22nd April 1997. The presenter is Mr Graham Every, Technical Consultant.
This two day workshop bridges the gap between an abstract understanding of the standard and the creation of an SGML application. Delegates are guided through the SGML syntax which they use to build and refine a Document Type Definition (DTD). The course focuses on understanding an application's requirements and reflecting them in the DTD.
The emphasis throughout the workshop is in the practical application of the standard. Delegates have ample opportunity to use the standard in hands-on laboratory sessions. Each delegate is given a copy of a public domain parser, together with the output from the workshop.
