SoftQuad and Interleaf, have announced a strategic partnership designed to provide an SGML Publishing Solution to corporate intranet users. Utilizing each company's Web-publishing technology, the goal of the global partnership will be to jointly develop and market an Internet SGML Publishing Suite that provides corporate intranet users the ability to quickly and accurately publish SGML documents to the Web. The joint product will utilize Interleaf's Xtreme repository and library capabilities and SoftQuad's Panorama Viewer technology. Interleaf Xtreme is a highly integrated, secure Windows NT Web application that uses the Microsoft IIS Web server for Web browser access and SQL Server database to maintain office documents for Web publishing.
