The Swedish SGML Users' Group has arranged the annual SGML Sweden Conference at Berns Salonger, Stockholm, March 19-20 1998. The theme of the conference is 'local and global information management', focusing on the use of XML and SGML for different purposes in both the local (e.g., within an organisation) and global (e.g., web publishing, distribution, parallel publishing) perspective. The keynote speaker is Pam Gennusa. Presentations wil feature SGML and web publishing, newspaper websites using SGML and HTML, important aspects of Internet usage e.g., security and copyright issues, what's new with XML, meta data on the web, XML applications, standards update, SGML and product models, and a few SGML case studies. The progam also features an introduction to HTML, XML and SGML, with lots of interactive demos/examples.
