A brace of vendors including ArborText, Chrystal, DataChannel, Inso, Microstar, Perspecta, Poet Software, SoftQuad, Texcel and Xyvision have announced XML-based tools for developers. In a host of announcements XML support has become the de facto requirement for tools vendors. Developers will be able to use XML-enabled tools, and data management applications to assist in the delivery of XML data. ArborText and Inso have also previewed Extensible Style Language (XSL)-enabled tools for building custom interfaces from structured XML data.
