Perspecta and Vignette announced a partnership to integrate Perspecta SmartContent System with Vignette's StoryServer 3. With the integrated Perspecta SmartContent System, information providers with StoryServer-based applications can enhance their content production workflow process to capture structured information - conceptually-oriented meta-data - and then utilise the meta-data to organise, deliver and present the information. Perspecta's system can leverage existing information organisational structures and meta-data including XML. Perspecta's system includes tools that allow a company to design and maintain their information architecture and to tag both existing and newly authored content with meta-data. The system then automatically structures the content using an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) engine specifically designed to create cross-connections between related pieces of complex information such as text, audio, video and graphics.
