Media Design in*Progress has released XPublish 1.0, the first website publishing system based on XML. Webmasters can use XPublish to efficiently author, publish and maintain middle sized and large websites to deploy on any platform. The application provides dialogs to create, inspect and modify XML markup, liberating the author from detailed knowledge of the XML specification. The editing environment is dynamically tailored based on the document types and declarations of the author. XPublish generates HTML pages from XML documents at publishing time. All XML content is maintained in an object database for speed and concurrently as markup files for flexibility. An integrated Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) editor simplifies designing and maintaining a consistent presentation style for websites.
