InterChange contains articles and news relating to the development and use of SGML and related standards. ISUG is recognised by the International Standards Organization (ISO) as a participating member in the development of ISO8879.

The International SGML Users' Group is a registered charity established to promote the use of ISO8879 and to provide a forum for the exchange of information about SGML and related standards. The Annual General Meeting is held each year at the SGML/XML Europe Conference.
